Y do women say the dont know what is wrong with them and they want to work it out before ur relationship cont.

My girlfriend and i broke up recently and she says it has nothing to do with me but that this always happens when ever she get into a relationship that she feels as if she doesn't understand what she wants. she said she wants me to remain as a friend and wait for her to figure it out cause she doesn't want to hurt me in the long run. so im trying to stay around cause i do have feelings for her. but what do you women think is wrong with her please help?????????????
