Why is it that a lot of women in Bahrain wear an abaya without the hijab? And..?

.....I think it is already the custom and culture way back hundred of years to wear abaya and hijab for arab women.....that is why even the new generation of women today still follow to wear it even they don't feel like wearing it anymore.
