Moon tickets being sold?

my brother told me he remembered on the news that they were selling tickets to go on a spaceship to the moon in 2008 but it would be 4 yrs later i got pretty creeped out when i thought 4 yrs later is 2012 the tickets were expensive but he didnt remember much about it so idk if he was being truthful anyone else know about this???
