Really good sad book with death and dying as main themes? ?

I want to read a good book. Lately, i've been in the mood for romantic tragedies. I really liked Veronica Decides To Die by Paolo Coelho. I didn't really like Farewell to Arms. It was a little boring. I like it when one of them is dying or dies in the end. Just not in Farewell to Arms. Thanks!
