How can the Bible be divinely inspired if it can't answer the most profound question we have?

The question being, "why are we here?" The Bible doesn't have an answer. I've heard that we are here to serve God, but that isn't a real reason. Why must be serve God? Because he created us and has authority over us? Then why did he create us in the first place? ('round and 'round we go...)
